No more having to cross the boarder to get those limited edition designer collaboration's...Target is coming to Canada. In a business deal to take over a number of Zellers stores and turn them into Target locals as reported by a news article published by the Montreal Gazette January 14, 2011 by Hollie Shaw, Financial Post "With the long-awaited announcement that Target Corp. will enter the country through a sweeping acquisition of as many as 200 Zellers store leases, Canada's retail landscape will be forever changed, experts said yesterday." (Read more) This is exciting news for shoppers but not so exciting for the Canadian economy which continues to get dominated by the U.S. But at the same time this will hit Target stores sitting across the boarder hard as a lot of Canadian's cross the boarder to buy in bulk from and those stores will be hit the hardest by this acquisition.
