Holt Renfrew Says...Meet Alexander Wang!

A Native Californian, Alexander Wang was born and raised in San Francisco and is of Chinese-American descent.  At 18 he moved to New York City where he attended the Parsons School of Design and participated in a variety of internships.  By 2005 Alex was already designing the first collection of his label Alexander Wang which was mainly comprised of knits.  By 2007 he had launched his womens collection selling internationally to over 200 boutiques and retail stores, and by 2008 he delved into accessories.  Today at only 25 he continues to live in New York City, and has already received top honours by the fashion community as the recipient of the Vogue/CFDA Fund in 2008, and in 2009 he was recognized by his peers when he was honoured as the winner of the Swarovski Womens Wear Designer of the Year.  To learn more about Alexander Wang, to view his collections and shop on-line go to http://www.alexanderwang.com/.  To learn more about his visit to Toronto and to check out his Personal Appearance at Holt Renfrew go to http://www.holtrenfrew.com/
