Aldo's Extreme Makeover!

Moisson Montreal receives an Extreme Makeover from ALDO Group team members:

270 ALDO Group team members from around the globe came together under one roof to give Moisson Montreal, Canada’s largest food bank, a complete overhaul.  The day began at 7 AM, where ALDO Group team members shed their couture for carpentry and got to work, skillfully landscaping the organization’s property and renovating, painting and decorating its interior.  In less than 12 hours, the teams were able to: Plant some 70 matures trees, as well as flowers, shrubs and bushes.  Recover wood planks from the warehouse and create stunning and functional furniture.  Craft a beautiful patio and rock garden for the volunteers and employees to enjoy their newly refreshed outdoor space.  Transform the cafeteria, media room and training areas into tasteful, comfortable and practical spaces.  Sort through and showcase the organization’s memorabilia and pictures from the last 25 years for staff and volunteers to enjoy sort through and package food for distribution to countless organizations  This 4th edition of the Extreme Makeover celebrated the International Year of Biodiversity, greening initiatives and sustainable development, and continued a solid ALDO Group tradition of helping communities while maintaining an environmentally friendly approach.  In garnering media visibility, the ALDO Group is encouraging other companies to follow suit. Just one day’s work means of lifetime of opportunities for the less fortunate.
